Jesus the Curry King is the story of an Aylesbury man who
comes out of a coma believing himself to be Jesus. After seeing that things
within humanity haven't changed much he decides to take a job in an Indian
restaurant to demonstrate how cultures can work together. And soon his
cooking recipes are miraculously transforming local racists!
But dark forces are at work to stop Jesus, including a foster mother with
supernatural powers and a vicious kickboxing champion hired to silence the
returned Messiah. Inevitably the local Christian church also sets out to
discredit Jesus, whose popularity quickly turns him into a local celebrity.
Jesus finds protection in the form of a teenage martial artist who must use
all his skills and wits to out-fight his deadly nemesis. Jesus even finds
himself falling in love with a modern day Mary Magdalene, who just happens
to work in public relations. Perfect match.
Jesus has returned to teach the world The Truth but it won't be easy. The
last time Jesus had such radical and dangerous things to say about politics,
economics, religion and greed he got nailed to a cross. And every step of
the way a similar fate hangs over him.
With a cult following building up around him and a strong religious
resistance organised against him, Jesus The Curry King must re-discover his
old courage and wisdom if his second coming is to prove worthy of its
expectations...
